Delicious Tofu "Chicken" Recipes with Glazes & Sauces 🍯🍛


Tofu is a versatile ingredient that can easily mimic the texture and flavors of chicken when prepared correctly. These recipes feature flavorful glazes and sauces, making your tofu meals exciting and delicious!


Honey Garlic Tofu "Chicken" Recipe 🍯🧄


Ingredients:

- 1 block (14 oz) firm tofu, pressed and cubed

- 2 tbsp cornstarch

- 2 tbsp olive oil

- 1/4 cup honey

- 2 tbsp soy sauce

- 3 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 tsp ginger, minced

- 1 tbsp water

- 1 tsp sesame seeds

- 1 green onion, chopped (optional)


Instructions:

1. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut it into cubes.

2. Toss the tofu cubes in cornstarch until evenly coated.

3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tofu cubes and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and ginger, and sauté until fragrant.

5. Stir in honey, soy sauce, and water. Bring to a simmer and cook until the sauce thickens slightly.

6. Return the tofu to the skillet, tossing to coat with the sauce.

7. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onion before serving.

8. Serve hot and enjoy!


Tips:

- Serve with steamed rice or quinoa for a complete meal.

- Add a side of steamed broccoli or snap peas for extra veggies.

Ingredients:

- 1 block (14 oz) firm tofu, pressed and sliced

- 2 tbsp olive oil

- 1/4 cup agave syrup

- 2 tbsp soy sauce

- 1 lime, juiced and zested

- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)

- 1 tbsp water

- Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)


Instructions:

1. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then slice it into thin strips.

2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tofu strips and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.

4. Stir in agave syrup, soy sauce, lime juice, lime zest, chili flakes, and water. Bring to a simmer and cook until the sauce thickens slightly.

5. Return the tofu to the skillet, tossing to coat with the sauce.

6. Sprinkle with fresh cilantro before serving.

7. Serve hot and enjoy!
